In de VS is ESS ontwikkeld door een KNO arts die veel zangers en zangeressen
in zijn praktijk had. Sinds 1984 wordt ESS daar veel verkocht aan
zangers, zangeressen en iedereen die veel van zijn/haar stem vergt

ESS is geen
geneesmiddel, maar helpt bij keel- en stemproblemen, zoals een droge
keel en een ‘rauwe’ stem, vooral als die worden veroorzaakt
door droogheid (vanwege rook, airco...). Door de speciale samenstelling
van ESS blijven je keel, larynx en stembanden vochtig.
ESS is verpakt
in een kleine flacon met pompverstuiver zodat je het middel makkelijk
overal mee naar toe kunt nemen en gebruiken.

is een spray die bescherming biedt tegen een droge of geïrriteerde
keel/stembanden. Als je de spray op de juiste wijze gebruikt en deze
goed op je stembanden laat komen, blijven deze vochtig en heb je minder
last van irritatie en droogte. ESS is geen wondermiddel of geneesmiddel! Je gaat er niet
ineens beter van zingen of spreken; je moet een goede zang- of spreektechniek
blijven gebruiken! Het maakt het zingen en spreken wel een stuk comfortabeler
en werkt wel preventief. Denk aan rokerige ruimtes en ruimtes met
airco, allergie...Je kunt dus wel weer 'beter' zingen/spreken doordat
je geen last hebt van factoren 'van buitenaf'.
ESS
kun je zoveel gebruiken als je wilt. Wanneer je weer een prikkeling
voelt of last krijgt van droogheid of irritatie, kun je de spray gewoon
weer gebruiken.
Natuurlijk
hebben we ESS ook zelf uitgeprobeerd. Resultaat: positief, mits je
het goed gebruikt. Sprayen wanneer nodig en goed de instructies volgen.
Gebruiksaanwijzing: •
Verwijder eerst het beschermkapje van de dop (wit plastic stukje voor
het spraygaatje).
• ‘Ontgrendel’ de dop door te draaien aan het zwarte
gedeelte in de dop. (schuif naar ‘unlock’)
• Spuit de spray in je keel en zeg tegelijkertijd ‘Aaah’.
Meer effectief is om kort en sterk in te ademen terwijl je spuit.
Houd hierbij je hoofd ietsje schuin naar achteren. Je voelt een kleine
tinteling in je keel. Daarna voelt het zacht aan. Je kunt het een
beetje omschrijven als een ‘suede laagje’ dat in je keel
zit.
• Je kunt de spray ook in je neus spuiten.
• Je kunt de spray net zolang en vaak gebruiken als je wilt.
Vergelijk het met een lippenbalsem of handcrème. Zodra je weer
last krijgt van je keel, kun je de spray dus gewoon weer inspuiten.
• Mochten
je klachten na een paar dagen nog niet over zijn, dan is het raadzaam
om een specialist of arts in te schakelen.
Houdbaarheid: •
De spray kun je normaal gesproken 2 jaar bewaren.

WHY DOES
MY THROAT GET DRY AND MY VOICE GET HOARSE?
We all have occasions
when we develop a dry, sore scratchy throat and a hoarse, tired voice
- we call it laryngitis. This is not always a correct diagnostic term,
but it is descriptive - possibly because tissues in the larynx or
vocal apparatus are inflammed- sound is distorted. Often it's caused
by excessive vocalizing: too much speaking, singing, cheering at games
or concerts, shouting, etc.
Inhaled air almost
always is drier than the body would prefer because heating in cold
weather as well as conditioning in hot weather removes moisture. When
this dry air flows through the throat's passageways, its mucosal cover
loses moisture via evaporation. As a consequence, this coating or
lining becomes too viscous to flow properly and it cannot keep the
underlying sensitive membranes moist. These surfaces can become dehydrated
even if one is not doing an unusual amount of talking or singing or
yelling.
Other reasons:
maybe the dry irritated throat is due to an unfavorable atmosphere
like smoke or dust, or maybe it's an after-effect from a cold or cough
or the result of surgery or therapy. Allergies can cause the mucus
to form a thick and congested mass. Whatever the cause, the throat
feels uncomfortable and, because a dry vocal fold does not vibrate
like a moist one, vocal quality is impaired.
WHY DO
ANYTHING ABOUT IT?
A dry throat is
uncomfortable and a persistently dry throat is more susceptible to
inflammation and infection - problems which nobody needs. A hoarse
voice handicaps our ability to perform our job or participate in a
favorite activity. It is annoying to the person doing the vocalizing
and equally irritating and distracting to the listener.
A few of us, radio
announcers and opera singers, for example, have jobs that absolutely
demand one's very best voice all the time. However, a far greater
number of us are involved in everyday activities that require a degree
of vocal quality, e.g. conversing, explaining, teaching, presenting,
or selling - if we want to optimize our opportunity to communicate.
A scratchy hoarse voice is frustrating to both parties. The audience,
whether it is one person or an auditorium full, is short-changed,
receiving less than the speaker or singer is capable of delivering.
WHY NOT
JUST DRINK WATER?
Drinking lots
of water is good, a healthy and a smart idea for many reasons. Before
extended periods of vocalizing one should drink a lot of water. But
the water passes through the esophagus into the digestive system and
must get into the circulatory system before it can be delivered to
specific dehydrated areas such as the throat or larynx. Very little
ingested water comes into direct contact with these dehydrated surfaces.
Frequent, often inconvenient bathroom breaks become necessary. Moreover,
even with copious fluid intake to achieve systemic hydration, the
body's mucous-secreting glands often just can't produce enough replacement
moisturizing materials quickly enough to keep up with the increased
need.
WHAT ABOUT
OTHER BEVERAGES?
Some people find
fruit juices and other water-based fluids a better tasting alternative,
but many drinks are counter- productive. For example, alcohol and
caffeine both exert a drying effect; paradoxically, the more one drinks
the dryer the local membranes and total system becomes. Even sugar
or acid (e.g. carbonation or citric acid) in drinks reduces the effectiveness
of these beverages as humidifiers and makes them less efficient than
plain water.
WHAT IS
ENTERTAINER'S SECRET THROAT RELIEF?
Entertainer's Secret Throat Relief is a spray formulated to resemble

IT WORK?
When sprayed orally or nasally into the throat, it adjusts the thickness
and flow of the mucus in the sinuses and the passageways of the nose

voice - and works to prevent further occurrences. The nose and throat
not only moisturize incoming air but they also serve as filtering
mechanisms. Tiny hairs in the nose called cilia are constantly moving
back and forth. They sweep away particulate matter - such as dust,

WHAT DOES
IT CONTAIN?
Entertainer's Secret is formulated to resemble natural secretions.
Sodium carboxymethylcellulose, aloe vera gel and glycerin - each a
proxy for a naturally secreted type of mucus (globular, strand and
sheet) - are blended into a buffered, aqueous hypertonic solution.
Unlike some other sore throat remedies, it does NOT contain numbing
anesthetics, alcohol, antiseptics, analgesics, antihistamines, decongestants,
anti-inflammatory agents or any other "medicinal" ingredient
that can produce unwanted side effects. The improved honey-apple flavor
imparts a pleasant mellow taste.
HOW DO
I USE IT?
One can spray Entertainer's Secret into the throat while saying "Ahh",
but a more effective way is to take a quick breath inward while spraying
into the mouth.
Spraying ESS into
the mouth or nose
To insure that
the upper throat is reached, one should tilt the head back, aim the
nozzle in the nostril and inhale sharply while spraying.
Any brief "tingling"
sensation will be quickly replaced by a pleasant soothing feeling.
It should be sprayed as often as necessary to eliminate dryness.
As is the case with hand lotion or lip balm, over-dosing is not a
concern. If the dryness, irritation or hoarseness persists for more
than a few days or if there are any signs of infection, a physician
should be consulted.
WILL IT
HELP MY ALLERGIES / SINUSES?
Allergy and sinus complaints often involve congestion and discomfort
because of very thick mucus.
Spraying Entertainer's Secret helps to thin out or make this material

Mensen moeten
zich er wel van bewust zijn dat het geen wondermedicijn is. Als je
stembanden gewoon oververmoeid zijn en je ESS gebruikt het gevaar
bestaat dat je gewoon doorgaat terwijl je stembanden in principe gewoon
rust nodig hebben en je het gevaar loopt je stembanden te beschadigen.
Dus wel gewoon naar je lichaam blijven luisteren zeg maar ;-).
Veel uitgeprobeerd
met mijn stem en die bleef helemaal goed. Tijdens het zingen drink
ik altijd veel water. Met ESS heb ik het gevoel dat er een laagje

Conference. Not only does it keep my throat moistened while singing,

I just wanted
to send you a note to thank you for manufacturing this product. I
have suffered from a throat disorder for the past 11 years, and have
taken every medication known to man to try to alleviate this problem,
with no success. The best way I can describe it is to say it was like
having a sheet of cardboard at the back of my throat. There was always
blockage between the back of my nose and > throat, and I couldn't

I am a full time
musician who regulary will sing for seven hours in one day. I also
have high blood pressure. My doctor

Maak tegelijkertijd het totaalbedrag (zie tabel boven)
over op gironummer 8443604 of via PayPal, t.n.v. Vocal Service Nederland te Leiden, o.v.v.
ESS + je naam, adres en woonplaats. Na ontvangst van het
totaalbedrag ontvang je z.s.m. de bestelling per post. Bij toezending
ontvang je, voor je administratie, ook een betalingsbewijs/faktuur
per email of per post met deze gegevens.
Mocht je de bestelling niet via e-mail hebben aangevraagd, maar alleen het totaalbedrag overgemaakt op rekening van Vocal Service Nederland, dan kan het iets langer duren voordat je de flacon(s) in huis hebt.
Als je de spray(s) dezelfde dag wilt hebben, dan kun je het/ze afhalen
in Leiden (bel dan voor een afspraak:
